The Arc Michigan, MI Behavioral Health & Wellness Collaborative, will host an event for Michigan Legislators on to learn about the community mental health system in Michigan. This event will take place on Wednesday, February 26, from 11:30am – 1:30pm, at CUMC, Fellowship Hall. 

 

Attendees will: 

  • Understand how the community mental health system is funded
  • Know how it is supposed to work and what services are offered
  • Know who it serves

 

Event hosts are The Arc Michigan, which began in the 1950’s, is a statewide public policy advocacy organization, with 30 local chapters, who assist those with developmental disabilities in realizing their dreams of having employment, education and living independently in their community; and The Mental Health Association in Michigan who is the oldest state-wide, non-governmental non-profit that advocates for quality mental health services and supports for adults and children with mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
